Helmets to Hardhats Program
I was proud earlier this month to announce the Helmets to Hardhats program, along with Prime Minister Stephen Harper and TransCanada Corporation. This innovative program will provide online tools to enhance job-placement and training efforts for veterans that have existing military training in the construction trades.
I am proud that Alberta already recognizes Certificates of Military Achievement as equivalent to a trade certificate in 10 trades related to the construction, transportation and hospitality sectors, more than any other province. This new website is another example of us supporting our veterans and meeting the growing labour needs of our province.
