Student & Apprentice Funding
Funding for education or training is a shared responsibility between students, their families if applicable, and government. It usually comes from a combination of sources. Government resources are intended to supplement your personal financial resources.
Funding Sources
Your financial resources include:
- your savings
- income from working (part-time and summer)
- RRSP funds
- RESP funds
- contributions from parents, spouses/partners or other family members
- income from apprenticeship or cooperative education programs
Government assistance available depends on what type of post-secondary education you choose to pursue:
