Alberta-Smithsonian Internship Program (ASIP)
The Alberta-Smithsonian Internship Program (ASIP), established in 2006, is a five-year partnership between the Government of Alberta, the University of Alberta and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
ASIP provides outstanding students, registered in degree-granting programs in post-secondary institutions of Alberta, with exceptional opportunities to work with Smithsonian scholars, scientists, experts, and educators in science, history, culture, and the arts in Washington, D.C. or other Smithsonian sites around the world.
The internship program is funded by the Alberta government and administered by the University of Alberta with up to $6,000 (CAD) available to support eligible students.
