University Research and Strategic Investments (URSI)
The University Research and Strategic Investments Branch (URSI) is responsible for administering two research capacity/equipment grant programs; the Alberta Science and Research Investments Program (ASRIP) and the Small Equipment Grants Program (SEGP).
The URSI Branch also liaises with other research agencies, contributes to policy and planning, and coordinates key targeted investments in strategic research initiatives and research capacity platforms.
Alberta Advanced Education and Technology's research infrastructure competitions are held in coordination with the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI).
